We want to bring innovation

Dear Toastmaster,

please be invited for a conference of contests, keynotes, workshops, panel discussions, networking and just a lot of fun. A conference to watch our district champions, foster your personal growth, and feel good around fellow Toastmasters.  ⇨ Join us!

When: from Friday, May 7 at 5pm to Sunday, May 9 at 6pm (Frankfurt time). See the ⇨ Agenda.

Where: Online on an exciting new conference platform called ⇨'Hopin' (not Zoom!).

Ticket price: Free for all Toastmasters of District 95. Register  ⇨ here to join the conference.

The conference features the wonderful Speech Champions from each of our 8 Divisions. They compete in the International Speech, Evaluation and Table Topics Contests both in English and German language. Watch how they bring their content to live. Or - even better - participate as Contest Chair, Judge or in another role. Sign up when registering for the conference.

At Toastmasters, we embrace change. But have you ever been changed by a tire? In his keynote speech, World Champion of Public Speaking 2013 Pres Vasilev will explain to us how a tire changed him, when he stormed towards championship. Learn what it needs in technical, but even more in personal growth to win the International Speech Contest. And how a tire -- the topic of his winning speech -- changed his life forever. You can connect to Pres and chat with him after his keynote address. Register ⇨ here to join the conference.

14 workshops have been organised to foster your personal growth and learn new skills. Learn from proven trainers in our district. They have been asked to present topics self development topics beyond public speaking -- or bring a new angle to a Toastmasters topic. We will also feature two panel discussions, one controversial, one informative. Moreover, we lined up several interviews for you. Interested? ⇨ Register now.

Do you, too, struggle with the Lockdown? Then listen to the famous Everest Climber David Göttler, our GermanKeynote Speaker. He explains to us how he motivates himself to live in a tent only surrounded by boulders, snow and ice for almost two month waiting for the right day to conquer Everest. You will find many equivalents to your own personal and even business life. If you plan to listen to David, ⇨ sign up here.

Have you ever written a book? Or do you have something interesting to share? Then set up a vendor or exhibition booth in our Expo area. Read to us from your book. Present your content to us. E.g., how you chartered a club during Covid times. Why you run for office in District 95. Or whatever else you deem worth sharing. You can even link your booth to an online sales channel. ⇨ Sign up for the conference and let us know your plans. If you want to know how a booth would work, watch one of these videos on YouTube.

Maybe your head will spin after a while. Just listening a lot, and you get a little too much. Then take part in our Table Topics Marathon! On Saturday and Sunday, we will reserve one room exclusively for impromptu speeches. Anyone can participate, unlimited times. Or take the role of Table Topics Master for one full hour.

Would you like to? Let us know when you ⇨ sign up.

You need a break? Just want to chat? Meet new people? Exchange ideas with Toastmasters from other countries? Fix yourself a hot drink and come to our Conference Café! Here you can chill, together with other Toastmasters. Moreover, we have a networking capability that works like speed dating. Click a button and for the next 2 minutes you will be paired with whoever ticks that same button next. And who knows what will happen next... - ⇨ Register and participate!

All these exciting events would be difficult to manage in Zoom. That's why we chose a new platform: Hopin. It's a platform that the United Nations have used already, and it can address up to 100,000 people. It is equal to the platform used by Toastmasters International last year for the International Conference. Obviously, the best is just good enough for us! The platform is intuitive for guests, but for Speakers, MCs, Timers and Workshop Hosts some details are different. We will train you before the event. If you want to take a role, ⇨ please register here.

Our conference may seem exciting, but at the same time long and arduous. No need to become desperate -- just choose the content you like. And the best: our core concept is to repeat the highlights! We are happy, of course, if you stay with us for the entire time. But you don't have to. Pick the time that suits you best. And if your preferred two workshops overlap with one another, don't worry: there will be a replay! Now you want to see the Agenda? Then click here. Or  ⇨ register here to participate.

Now, what about yourself? Are you joining us?
Fly High • Feel The Sky

Presenter: Florian Mück

Presenters love to kill their speech, their content, their story with disclaimers, meta talk, and other noise. The result? Indifference, boredom, zzzzz.

Rhetorical devices are rhetorical orgasms. Aposiopesis, epizeuxis, paralipsis, ... - let's spice up your story for absolute audience pleasure.

Turning off the camera completely defies the purpose of video calls. So let’s find out how you can use body-language to your advantage and have a great time doing it. With more than 15 years of experience onstage and on screen I will show you how to master* your virtual close-up. *insert fingersnap!

Power Point Karaoke, the fun exercise

A playful way to practice impromptu speeches and improvisation

Presenter: Laurenz Menzinger

PowerPoint Karaoke is a playful way to practise giving impromptu speeches to previously unknown, randomly selected PPT presentations. This is pure improvisation and there it is quite a lot of fun. To make the exercise easier, two participants can also give a "talk" on a presentation. This way you can easily pass balls to each other. PowerPoint Karaoke is a fun exercise and you train your flexibility, spontaneity and presence.

Laurenz Menzinger is an HR consultant, workshop faciliator and moderator. The graduated economist is a certified systemic coach, LEGO® Serious Play® facilitator and improviser.

Interaktiver Workshop für das nächste Upgrade Deiner Persönlichkeit

Presenter: Alex Wiebe
